Zeved Habat – Gift of a Daughter
One month ago, I gave birth to a baby girl. I and my husband were both happy and excited. As much as we wanted to disclose our baby’s name to everyone, most especially to our immediate families, we simply cannot because we are waiting for our baby’s Zeved HaBat or Newborn daughter Ceremony.
In a Jewish family, it is customary to name the newborn daughter one month after she is born.
Today, we are beyond grateful to our Creator for the gift of life and for allowing us to reach this season. Baruch HaShem!
